Extract from the first rule

This Rule of 1863 tends to combine the conditions of the active life and those of the contemplative life in order to reproduce as far as possible in one religious family the spirit of Martha and of Mary.

The Congregation of Our Lady of Sion is a religious family that has for its aim the sanctification of the members that compose it and the sanctification of others, particularly of the lost sheep of the House of Israel.

The community of the Daughters of Sion will reproduce as far as possible the spirit of the disciples of the eary Church by a firm faith, by detachment from earthly things, by prayer and frequent communion, by an inviolable submission to the successor of Saint Peter, the Prince of the Apostles. But its distinguishing feature is Charity.

The whole Congregation is dedicated to the holy and immaculate Virgin Mary, under the title of Our Lady of Sion “The Religious honour her as the glory of Jerusalem, the joy of Israel and the honour of her people “. (Judith 15:9.)
